ABOUT JO

 

 

Hello!

 

My name's Jo and I run JST Fitness in Felbridge, West Sussex.

 

I've always been involved in sports and fitness, both playing and coaching and have always enjoyed helping people to improve themselves physically.

 

I studied Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham and graduated with an honours degree in 2007. I then completed my diploma in Personal Training, and have continued to progress my knowledge with regular courses to keep myself up to date!

 

I'm a keen runner, and you'll regularly see me pounding the streets of East Grinstead! I've run 7 marathons, including both the Brighton and the London Marathons within 7 days in 2016! Although I'm happiest running half marathons, and have run over 20, as well as 10km races! I've also taken part in 'mud runs' and survived Tough Mudder 2014 and 2015! To compliment my running I'm a big fan of functional training, especially kettlebells and TRX.

I had my little girl towards the end of 2019, and my little boy at the beginning of 2022. I stayed active throughout both pregnancies and safely and carefully returned to running half marathons after both. I'm currently training for the Brighton Marathon 2025 - my first marathon as a Mum!

- BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science

- Level 3 Personal Trainer

- Certificate in Adapting Exercise for Ante and Post Natal Participants

- Suspended Movement, Kettlebell, Boxing for Fitness and ViPR Instructor

- 4 Day First Aid at Work and Defib Trained

- REPs Registered and Insured
